Harbin is 9 months old today. I can’t believe how time flies. He’s such a sweet little baby and we are so blessed! He adores his big sister and cuddles with his mommy and laughs and plays with his daddy. He is so much like Micah in a lot of ways..looks, his seriousness, laid back nature, and overall sweet and handsome.

We are back from CO. We had a great time, although, the last few days we were all sick. I had a 103 temp and flu like symptoms one evening. The next evening, Haven got a stomach virus, and was sick every 15 minutes from 6.30 that evening until 3.45 the next morning. We ended up having to take her to a DR. to make sure she wasn’t getting dehydrated. She ended up not keeping down some liquid we gave her that morning….then my mom got a touch of it that evening…..then Harbin and I had the other end for a bit too, but praise the Lord, we are all well and home, a day later than we planned.
We really did have a great time. Lots of shopping, parks, swimming, Crate and Barrel, playing at the mall, Target, Starbucks times, ect. It was a great time of refreshing and hanging out, but we all missed Micah a lot!!! And he was sick a bit too while we were gone…I guess it’s that time of year, but I’ve seen enough throw up and poop for a LONG time!!
So we are driving along in Colorado with the windows down b.c it’s so nice. We were about to get on the highway so I rolled them all up b.c it would be too windy. As I did so, Haven cried and cried. I didn’t think anything of it b.c I thought she was frustrated b.c I was rolling them up. Turns out, I actually didn’t look before I did so, and her hand was caught in it……after a few tears, on both parts, I asked her forgiveness and told her I am sorry. Through her tears, she said:
“Mommy, I’ll always forgive you.” It truly brought me to tears.
And yet another one that brought me to tears was when we were in Target and Haven said:
“Mom, do you hear Jesus? He’s talking to you.”
(and of course, me thinking it was the ones where she says things that SHE wants to do i.e. ‘Jesus said He wants me to go outside and play’, ect.:))
So I reply:
‘No, I didn’t hear Him. What did He say?’
Haven: ‘He said you’re beautiful’.
Speaking of tears, as we were waiting in the drive through line at Starbucks, a song came on that I had never heard of, and since this particular Starbucks was either slow or reallly busy, either one, I was able to listen to the whole song without interuption. I cried like a baby right in the car with the kids. (my mom was with some friends) I found the song on youtube and it was clips from The Notebook, so even more sappy. But the words are amazing and makes me think of my sweet husband…plus I haven’t seen him in a few days, so it makes it even more sappy for me.:) And then I cried some more.
Okay, so the above mentioned cookies are my favorite kind especially homemade, ESPECIALLY my mother in laws. She gave us some to take home yesterday and I think I’ve had 3 last night and 3 today…..so far. I know it’s silly and random, but hey, they’re COOKIES!! Oh the simple pleasures in life……..
Thanks for making them mom. 🙂
One of my best friends, Kristin, had sweet baby Maddie yesterday evening. She weighed 8 pounds 14oz. and was 20.5 in. long. We are so excited! We love you Gray’s!! Baby Maddie, welcome to the world! Since your older brother Zachary and Haven will be getting married, you might as well join our family too and Mr. Harbin will be waiting for you.:)
